Trustanbouw is 'the other contractor'. With reasonable hourly rates, old-fashioned craftsmanship and precise project management. We are confident that, together, we can find a solution to any problem. In short: a modern, flexible and transparent construction company. We have our own carpentry factory. We are the best in medium to large renovations in the Randstad area. Small projects are taken care of by our Service and Maintenance department. Please note: we are not the right party for new constructions.
If you have plans to renovate, restore your property, we can guide you from the beginning (first design) till the end (maintenance). ABOUT TRUSTAN

HISTORY
Trustanbouw started in its current form in 2007 under the leadership of Owner and General Manager Rob Nijhuis. The company initially made a name for itself by working with Dutch project managers and Slovakian craftsmen. Over the years, the company has grown rapidly, at the moment we work with 125 professionals managed by 10 Project managers and 3 contractors.
We have completed more than 2000 projects: medium and large private home renovations and we have also worked for property owners and catering companies / restaurants. Many of our Projects were in Amsterdam, Utrecht and the northern Randstad. We have built up a very large and loyal customer base, almost all our customers find us through a network of satisfied family members, friends and/or colleagues.
CONSTRUCTION PROCESS
As soon as you agree with our quotation and we have received officially the order your file is sent to our Planning department. They ensure that you will receive a contract and planning and then they will start with the technical preparation.
Your personal Project manager will supervise the entire project. He’s your point of contact, will organize the day-to-day management and keeps an eye on costs with the help of our office staff.
We will do our utmost to complete the project 100% on time. Together with the customer we draw up a report with the delivery points, which we then resolve within two weeks. When the project is finished we evaluate the construction process and we would like to hear your opinion about our work.

Still living pleasantly during a renovation
During a major renovation, your house is no longer your home. You want a place of rest, and people are increasingly working from home, we want to unburden our customers by offering them accommodation during the renovation. We have three apartments. The houses are efficiently and tastefully furnished and equipped with all basic necessities.

Trustanbouw also handles all necessary warranty and service work after delivery. We have an independently operating department: Service, Maintenance and Management. We are happy to help our customers, because we also like to maintain trust after (re)construction.

SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainability is a hot topic in our entire society nowadays and certainly also in construction industry. New-build houses are more environmentally friendly but there’s an increasing demand to make existing homes more sustainable. Trustanbouw wants to be a frontrunner in this area. Over the past few years we have done several projects using new materials and components, mechanical and electrical features that can enhance energy efficiency (such as solar panels). All kind of upgrades that might be needed across your house to improve overall efficiency.
In 2018, an intern from the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht focused on the sustainability of our construction projects for six months. There is now a structured step-by-step plan that can be followed to make the right choices. The first step is to insulate the house. A combination of cavity wall insulation, roof insulation (on the inside) and under floor insulation is advised to provide the highest efficiency. The second step is to switch to sustainable energy. A PV system is recommended for this. Research shows that the heat pump emerges as the most sustainable heating system.
A model has been created to calculate the savings. If you interested in seeing this model or you would like us to be involved in your sustainable renovation, please let us know!
Naturally, we also want to become increasingly green as a company. For example, we only use Dutch green electricity and biogas. We are also working on making our business premises more sustainable and we are encouraging electric driving among our employees.

WHY DO YOU WORK WITH SLOVAKIAN TRADESMEN?
We started to work together a long time ago because of their traditional craftsmanship skills combined with their excellent work ethic. We are often told that the men are polite, hard working and deliver good quality work.
DO YOU EMPLOY SLOVAKIAN TRADESMEN?
No, they are not employed by Trustanbouw, but work as self-employed staff for the company Stav Slovakia. Ofcourse we work a lot with this company, so we know the professionals and their qualities well. Stav Slovakia provides housing and their insurances (f.e. health insurances).
IS IT DIFFICULT TO COMMUNICATE WITH SLOVAKIAN TRADESMEN?
You do not have to communicate directly with the men yourself, because the project manager is always your point of contact. However, some men have been working in the Netherlands for a long time and can speak a little bit Dutch and/or English. If translation is required, we have also our office staff available.
CAN WE CHOOSE A PROJECT MANAGER?
We prefer to recommend a Project manager but if for some reason there’s no click with this manager please tell us as soon as possible so that we can organize an alternative.
WHY DO YOU ONLY TAKE ON (MEDIUM) LARGE JOBS?
Our company is fully equipped for medium to large renovation projects. However, there are exceptions such when it comes to projects where only one skill is required (f.e. painting a whole house) then we are also a good choice. Another exception is that we are always willing to help our loyal regular customers.
HOW DOES TRUSTANBOUW INVOICE CLIENTS?
We will send you an invoice at the beginning of the project, during the project and upon completion you will get the final invoice. Stichting Bouw Facturatie Nederland combines the invoices Trustan Bouw Management and Stav Slovakia into a single clear format, so you will always have a complete overview and can pay them right away.
